Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's morally right. Across centuries, certain segments of the populace were branded as parasites or less than, and their rights were trampled upon. When laws are unjust it is our duty to speak up. Abortion is a human rights violation.
JCD Prabhakar, as someone holding a constitutional post, is standing for the right to life - especially for the 15.6 million of our nation's babies that are denied those rights every year. It is an act of courage to stand for the weakest members of the human race.

Abortion is a human rights issue and goes beyond religions. There are secular pro-life organisations like @secularprolife as well as Jains, Muslims and Hindus who believe that preborn babies deserve to live.

1971 to 2020: Abortion limits in India went from 20 weeks → 24 weeks.
Meanwhile 15.6 million babies are lost to abortion every year in India.
One third of a generation is missing.
Regardless of the law, every life is precious.
