I have aspirations of writing, and a lot of words to get out, but my responsibilities at work and at home with the kids have limited the time I have to spend on longer form writing.
I am going to be experimenting more with this micro-blogging thing.
@ClownWorld The real answer is that if the card was authorized for 104, there are limits in place that prevent the final amount from being that much higher.
@homelaber@windsurf More serious: while it lacks some of the polish of Claude code, I am legitimately productive with Kiro CLI. I also find the spec-based development features in the IDE to be a useful tool.
@amandawtwong Honestly, whenever people say this, I want to ask them if they also believe it about their school mates.
Most of my coworkers are not my close friends. But almost all of my close friends are former coworkers.

"something bad happens to a kid" is an intriguing plot element when you _are_ a kid
"something bad happens to a kid" is being forced to imagine the worst thing possible when you _have_ a kid
Yup. This. When my mother started having unexplained symptoms (turned out to be ovarian cancer) we went through many hospital admissions with days in the ER. The ER was almost always done with its part in a few hours. Then you’d spend a day waiting for a bed upstairs.
1) Crowding is due to problems in the ER
Nope. ER crowding has fundamentally nothing to do with the ER. It's largely about HOSPITAL capacity and the boarding of hospitalized patients waiting for beds to become available on the wards.
This, in turn, is due to inadequate LTC.
We started going to Red Robin when we noticed they’d be like “I see you have kids. Can I bring out a basket of fries for the kids while you decide on the rest of your order?”
@patio11 Is that drawing a memetic attack or a convenient illustration of a memetic attack?
I’m forced to admit to still being confused about the idea while still very intrigued.
I constantly see zoomers say things like “I don’t care if China has my data, it’s not like Zuckerberg having it is any better” and it really has nothing to do with your “data.” The data isn’t the valuable thing! The algorithm capable of quickly influencing mass public opinion is!
Okay I love the pkg system and docs.
I dislike how emacs appears to be borked in the pkg repo for my arch. And I don’t have enough ram to recompile it all myself.
