The main issues these apps ran into were the native webviews just not being optimized enough for heavy frontend memory/JS usage vs Electron’s V8. Their dashboard heavy UI felt noticeably less snappy, had occasional rendering hiccups, higher battery/CPU usage/memory leaks in practice.

For a lighter app it might make total sense to go with Tauri tho

Really cool, gonna try them out.
I tried full sub-agents orchestration (tech-lead, dev, QA, …) but noticed it just increased my token usage and often didn’t produce better results than Cursor’s default agents. Planning to go back to just a few specific skills and the default Cursor agents.

Couldn’t agree more.

I’ve attended EthIndia every year since 2022 and noticed this sad trend so much that, even while living in Bangalore, I felt it wasn’t worth attending IBW or other events.

We really need an event purely focused on developers and learning and less on bd, content, kols etc.

Really hoping the DevCon next year will be that event. 🤞
