By targeting faster #profitability from 2027, focusing capital on product, tech, and brand rather than heavy assets, VinFast is signaling a clear pivot from headline growth to disciplined, #CapitalEfficient expansion in a still-crowded #ASEAN#EVmarket.
VinFastâs move to reorganize its Vietnam business into an #assetlight structure, shift manufacturing into VFTP, and offload liabilities looks like a classic âsurvive now, scale smarter laterâ play in the #EV and #AutoOEM landscape. @VinFastofficial@CounterPointTR
Maruti Suzukiâs first massâmarket EV is here. eâVitara starts at âš10.99 lakh under a BatteryâasâaâService model, low entry price, but the real EV cost shifts to a âš3.99/km âbattery EMIâ.
For lowâmileage, firstâtime EV buyers, this is smart: smaller upfront cheque, familiar #Maruti + #NEXA network, and up to 543 km claimed range on higher variants. For highâmileage users who plan to hold the car long and drive a lot, perâkm battery rental could end up feeling more like fuel spend than EV upside.
Netânet: interesting financial engineering, strong product, but the verdict will depend on how Indians drive, not just how much they pay at the showroom.

@volklub Salespeople often push whatever stock is lying at the dealership, so you should not let extra features or discounts distract you from the right mechanical configuration for your actual usage.
Totally agree that âš3.99/km looks shocking at first glance @Maruti_Corp
But two small nuances:
- #eVitara at âš10.99 lakh has no fixed monthly minimum on the battery (as per current info), so a low/irregularârunning owner pays only when they drive, not a compulsory âbattery rentâ every month.
-Windsorâs BaaS is cheaper at âš3.5/km but forces you to pay for at least 1,500 km every month, whether you drive or not, thatâs âš5,250 lockedâin battery spend.
So, for highâmileage, valueâconscious users, your logic holds: a wellâpriced diesel or a Nexon/Punch EV with battery included can still look saner. While eâVitara looks more flexible on commitment and brings Marutiâs network into the same #BaaS conversation.
To support EV adoption, @Maruti_Corp has introduced a charging ecosystem under its 'e for me' initiative. The company has set up more than 2,000 exclusive charging points across its sales and service network in over 1,100 cities. It has also partnered with 13 charge point operators. By 2030, the company plans to facilitate access to more than 1 lakh public charging points.
