@the_transit_guy@seamlessbayarea This map makes it seem like the density of transit in SF resembles Boston or DC. Unfortunately this is covering a much bigger area and these trains are all basically commuter rails. Unless you're going somewhere right next to a stop, they don't make much sense to use :/
I love @lennysan's breakdown of when companies:
1. Launched the product
2. Got their first customer
3. Achieved PMF
If nothing else, solid proof that idealized processes are a lie.
@stojmarina Personally I prefer the term โMLPโ. (minimum lovable product). Itโs similar but reinforces the idea that at initial launch the product has to be good enough for some of your customers (perhaps not all of them) to LOVE it.
@BenjiBacker I 80% agree but would rephrase as it doesnt change global energy demand. Some of that money will go to renewables instead of oil (just like after prices went up after russia invaded ukraine). Its not a 1:1, but its likely this will reduce oil consumption to a degree.
@dax19956 @drvolts I think the later is the more interesting question. Its a very low margin business that looks like a race to the bottom... i.e. the kind of business that we usually outsource. I think diversifying supply chains is the more important task at hand so we're not over reliant on china
@FracSlap@TaviDuprix@kevindstevens Sure this is the nature of intermittent power and why a mix is sources is important. That said, based on how close we came yesterday, seems like weโd have been screwed without windโs (and solarโs) contribution:

@denicmarko https://t.co/84HXtSaMwJ helps you understand the ROI of rooftop solar for your property. We also connect you with local solar developers. No pushy sales calls and no funny math guaranteeing $50,000 savings overnight
@TaviDuprix@FracSlap@kevindstevens Seems like having a broad mix of energy sources saved the day here in the face of record demand. How do we get from there to blaming wind for โshitting the bedโ?
@SolarKelseyM @SEIA I suspect weโll be able to make this same statement almost every year for the next decade. Solar is a generational opportunity on the same order as AI but with half the hype
