I love dahi. I yearn for dahi I want it everywhere I go. I love the way it redeems even the most hopeless sabzi, the way it never loses itself even as it transforms into countless, more delicious forms. I wouldn’t love my own children more than I love dahi
Anti-Indian racism is on the rise in the west. Specially in the US 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦. We see it in now on insta comments, twitter/x comments pretty much regularly. It is easy to ignore it saying that's just how it is online. 1/n
@NikhilPradhan03@Zoomcar_India Very irresponsible behaviour @Zoomcar_India . Have been hearing such incidents a lot recently. Won’t suggest zoomcar to anyone if they want to book a car for a hassle free ride and service.
A short trip abroad reminded me how Uber was meant to work. You call a cab, driver comes, picks you up, drops you and you walk out. Your credit card is charged.
How India has fucked this up. You call a cab. Uber app asks you to pay for *previous* trip via UPI/credit card with OTP. You try with credit card. But OTP does not arrive. You shoft mode to UPI. Enter pin. Success at last.
Then you call a cab again. Fare has increased by 20%. You sigh and hail cab.
Driver calls up. Asks you if cash or online. Cancels as you are paying online.
You hail another cab. Driver calls and asks for destination. Cancels.
Third cab comes. Asks you to cancel and insead ride unofficially. You refuse because no protections.
You call another cab. This time the driver agrees. Asks for OTP. You unlock phone, open Uber app and squint at the screen in heavy sunlight. Takes you to destination but refuses to turn on AC.
You check your Uber and UPI apps. No payment requests. A few moments later, you get an email notification: "Payment for your Uber trip has failed."
