+ (-5) means you've just taken on $5 of debt, so it's equivalent to -$5

- (-5) means you've just been relieved of $5 of debt, so it's equivalent to +$5

@willrich45 I love that idea! Unfortunately those who are regulating public education want us to “play school” despite any and all of the things going on this year. Very specific requirements as to what constitutes a “day.” It’s a traditionalist approach to 21 century problem.

The more I have conversations with teachers about grading, the more I realize that grades are worthless, especially now. A student earning a B going into DL and doing nothing compared to a student earning a C and working to a B by the end are 2 completely different B grades.
