Today, due to VVIP movements, heavy vehicles were off Mumbai roads — and the result was unbelievable.
🚗 Kandivali to Bandra on the Western Express Highway in just 30 minutes.
No chaos. No bottlenecks. No endless crawling.
Sometimes a temporary decision exposes a permanent solution.
It’s time Mumbai seriously considers restricting heavy vehicle movement on major arterial roads from 7am–11pm, allowing structured, regulated movement only during night hours. (11pm to 6am)
If one day can transform traffic flow, imagine what a well-planned policy can do.

Dearest @AshwiniVaishnaw ji,
Why should a RAC passenger bear full charge for 50% of a side lower seat? Isn't it unfair?
Once the chart is prepared, Railways must refund 50% of the fare with interest for RAC passengers. The same source of payment can be used for the refund.
Pls implement this immediately. I see many ladies and senior citizens who travel by RAC, without sleep and they pay full charge.
If any of you reading this feel that this should be implemented immediately, comment with your thoughts and share until Railways makes it a fair deal for passengers.
This is long long overdue.
On behalf of Indian Passengers,

Dear @nitin_gadkari
We need a public website that shows:
> Which contractor built road
> Which babu approved it
> Total cost & ministers involved
> Firm responsible for maintenance
Contractors are becoming billionaires while people die on roads
Bring real accountability now!
Drove from Thane to Sion and Sion to Andheri using EEH and WEH on the same day
Its a shame that both EEH and WEH are in a terrible shape with bumps every few metres.
Both these roads should be nuked and rebuilt from scratch by a listed player with stringent quality checks.
Mumbai deserves better roads!
If you want such a future of your children, then I don’t have any problem at all. If you can’t think about your children future, then you are brainwashed.
Potholes are Inevitable, says Madhya Pradesh PWD Minister Rakesh Singh.
Minister explained that no technique has yet been developed that can ensure pothole-free roads.
Even the construction Quality of Delhi - Mumbai Expressway is very poor
Our team regularly travels on that expressway and the road it not at all smooth. Its bumpy and rough!
One good Monsoon has ensured the road wear off! The quality and engineering needs to be questioned
The Bombay High Court has declared that Mumbai’s bad roads are unacceptable, emphasizing that civic bodies and contractors must ensure safe roads. The court ordered ₹6 lakh compensation for deaths and ₹50,000–₹2.5 lakh for injuries caused by potholes or open manholes.
Highlighting civic apathy, the bench warned of strict disciplinary and legal action against negligent officials and contractors, noting that road safety is a fundamental right under Article 21. The court stressed that recurring accidents during monsoons demonstrate the need for accountability and timely road maintenance.
The contractor who built the road, the officer in charge of its maintenance and the minister overseeing it would have been executed if this happened in China.
