One of the most unfortunate outcomes of this saga is that the general public will, often inappropriately, be increasingly suspicious of the accomplishments of the many talented, honest and hardworking black academics who achieved their posts on legitimate merit. That is the only outcome one can expect with affirmative action such as Arday's hiring.
