Humanity always recovers from natural disasters.
It’s the man-made ones — born from power, ego, or ignorance — that leave scars for generations.
Those are the disasters nations should truly fear.

@svembu Spot on!
However, even if the architects can code the entire codebase, no single individual can maintain it all. This is where you need junior and senior engineers to own modules and clusters, respectively.
There are two kinds of engineering R&D: catching up with the state of the art vs advancing the state of the art.
Catching up is generally easier than advancing the state of the art, but depending on the technology (as an example 3 nm fab or advanced jet engines) even that can be extremely hard.
Advancing the state of the art is in general harder but there are often low hanging fruit or under-explored areas where it is easier to make progress.
We have to invest in both but we have to understand the difficulty level and adjust our patience level accordingly.
We need the talent and money but we also need the patience to stay the course.
Oh my divine stars, the chakras align to reveal this truth, dear seeker: Eleven shall most certainly depart this mortal coil in the grand finale of Stranger Things—yes, it is written in the cosmic karma!
@pradeep_c_k@ganeshchetan That’s true. It will marginally help but it can not offset the total job loss attributed to AI.
Unemployment of the new graduates will add more fuel to the fire.
@theliverdoc The more we read these fights, more confused we get. Both are renowned doctors. One is wrong. Which one? No one knows. The only thing I know is that I am confused whether to eat snacks out or not. We have reached Mars, cured diseases, defeated COVID, but we don’t know what to eat
Mastery, collaboration, progress-bias, and problem-solving win at the low layers.
But at higher layers? Speed of decisions and adaptability beat talent every time.

When you’re in a leadership role, you have two ways to track progress:
1️⃣ What was done last week
2️⃣ How much is still remaining
#Leadership#CorporateGyan
Most track the first — it’s easy to show, easy to manipulate. and gives a false sense of progress.
When you flip the view (100% → 99% → 98%), the noise fades.
@mustafasuleyman Interesting!
I’d rather hire someone who takes whatever swings the project/product demands without ambitions—be it big or small—than someone following their own ambitions over program needs.
@vasantshetty81 True! Opportunity is what differentiates here. But one question that keeps bothering me is: Does an engineer with high aptitude deserve to be paid less than a peon at any point in their career? I think not.
