First hour of my working day I go for a walk. I find walking really stimulates my mind, and then when I have a take on what and how i want to get something done that day, I email it to myself. When i get back to my desk its waiting for me in my inbox. The walking habit has helped me be way more productive and more creative.

For some strange reason my wife put a mirror head height next to the toilet on the wall. Like 30 cm away from the toilet. A tile had fallen off and some fuckwitt DYI trend says put a mirror tile there. What used to be the best 10 mins of my morning is now the first 10 mins of me mourning my youth everyday....

To be fair Anthony, that's like saying when you order a pizza, you don't need the cheesy saucy bits, there is a crust you can eat and it might not taste as good, but at least it is filling in the end. Why must people pay a premium and then settle for 2nd best. And anyone reading this that wants to tell me about how usage is subsidised etc, yes, we all know that, but we aren't the ones marketing Astra as being token efficient. The US is a capitalist market, you advertise something for a price, people pay it, and when it doesn't deliver you are supposed to whine about it. So your advice makes sense, but it is also a coping mechanism, not a fix to the problem. If front tier AI isn't sustainable for companies to sell to everyday people in the long run then they should just be honest about it.

I'm afraid to say it because I don't want to Jinx it but the usage I got out of Fable 5.1 the last 3 days has been insane. My usage was at 20% left, I have been working with it on multiple projects and it has just been stretching. I think I have been on Fable 5.2 if the Tibo test can be believed. So either they give better usage for A/B testing or they have somehow improved usage with Fable 5.2. Really hoping they somehow improved it. It genuinely feels like you can get a lot done. Now on 96% and I reset later today.

Fair point, but maybe he is a victim of his own success in a way. He became the approachable face of OAI. He has to deliver and shoulder promises they made because he put himself in that position. People on here feel he is one of them, and when he goes quiet or doesn't address the issues people are having with Codex they take it personally, and react in a personal way. Hell maybe its almost a compliment, you don't see people swearing at Boris or Thariq because they don't seem as approachable. They keep more of a distance in that regard. And Tibo seems to handle it quite well, although I do imagine him staring at his feed sometimes and letting rip verbally in French at some of our posts while sitting on his hands so as not to type what he is thinking. I'm definitely guilty of that and after reading your post I'll try and not do that for a while....until after Tuesday at least....but...you got to admit it is very frustrating when they vague post and allow people's imaginations and hopium to speed away on the hype train and then don't deliver. After all we are still just human.

Thanks, i appreciate your answer. And yes, i hear you and get that perhaps not everybody is experiencing this, but there does seem to be a lot of users just like me talking about this. I guess for me first prize would be if they just said, hey it is expensive to use and does eat a lot of tokens. Then i know what i am paying for and it becomes my decision. But a lot of the marketing focused on it being more token efficient despite the higher input/output costs. It is supposed to do more with less. And that just hasn't been my experience for the last week. And i ran it on a Pro and Plus account to check. And I wouldn't be this frustrated if i didn't love the product. I could easily cancel and just get an extra Claude Subscription but I do really think Astra is amazing. Anyhow, thanks again for your feedback.
