In this interview with Jonny Carson, Dolly Parton unapologetically explains that girls marrying at age 12 was commonplace in 1940s and 50s rural Christian Tennessee.
She says her own mother married at 14 and had her first child at 15.
She had 12 children by age 35.

One of the more interesting shifts within Ashʿarī kalām concerns the ontology of the soul. Many early Ashʿarī theologians were deeply suspicious of immaterial created substances. The soul (nafs) or spirit (rūḥ) was commonly understood in corporeal terms, often as some kind of subtle body, rather than as an immaterial substance in the philosophical sense.
From al-Ghazālī onwards, and especially with Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī and the post-Rāzian tradition, that picture becomes much less settled. The possibility of an immaterial soul enters Ashʿarī kalām as a serious option. Some theologians remained resistant to it, while others were increasingly willing either to defend it or at least to deny that it could be ruled out.
This passage from al-Iṣfahānī is a nice example. He reports the theologians’ attempt to prove that immaterial intellects and souls cannot exist, and then dismisses their argument as “very weak” (ḍaʿīf jiddan). Sharing the negative property of being “not material”, he argues, does not mean that created immaterial beings would share God’s essence or necessity of existence. His conclusion is deliberately cautious. There is no proof that such intellects and souls exist, but neither is there a proof that they do not. They therefore remain within the realm of metaphysical possibility.
It is a small passage, but it captures something important about post-classical Ashʿarism. The ontology of the soul had become a genuine site of debate.
Brilliant governor.
Every nation can end the divorce crisis by implementing these simple rules.
Every woman who wants to exit a marriage justifies it by claiming she was "abused" somehow. Often these are spurious claims, which is why a serious legal system requires proof, not just women's (crocodile) tears.
$VIRTUAL Spot setup
I don’t buy or sell too many spot products. Only the rare ones with good charts and a possibility of a trend breakout.
I like the trend on this one as well.
We need to stay above the trend on the daily band and also have good closes on the weekly band.
I’m watching it.

When to buy altcoins
Last cycle it took 500 days for alts to finally start moving aggressively.
As it stands now this is very likely just a local spike similar to one we had in Jan 2023.
For altseason we need at least a month of BTC outperforming literally everything else... and I don't think we are still there.
I would not FOMO here, chill and DCA in the next 6 months
In regards of this:
- I'm buying the dip on $NEAR if this comes, a little sweep lower = going to be a great entry.
- I wouldn't be surprised if $ONDO sweeps lower too, will be bidding that. In the meantime, I assume we'll see $PLUME break higher.
- $ETH ecosystem: $ARB & $OP break out seems imminent --> good for my portfolio, as I've got a position in $OP.
- $SOL / $SUI / $SEI all look ready to be breaking out of their one year downtrend.
Saudi Arabia sits on the world's oil.
It is one of the weakest countries on earth.
Why?
No human capital.
They import engineers from Europe and America to pull their own oil out of the ground.
Most of the population sits in government jobs doing nothing.
This is the resource trap.
Too many resources creates complacency. Complacency creates hubris. Hubris creates dependency.
Now look at the opposite.
Japan. Korea. Singapore. Finland.
Almost no natural resources at all.
So they were forced to be resilient. Forced to be organized. Forced to educate every single person.
Japan's only resource is its people.
That is exactly why it won.
Scarcity builds nations.
Abundance dissolves them.
$SUI
I haven't touched this coin since it was around $4.
One of the best decisions despite the hype it had at the time.
For now I am still not interested in buying this altho it is getting pretty close.
My limit orders will be waiting at 0.5 and slightly lower.
