@DrMPaff It's not often I'm speechless but if you saw my face right now. 🤦♀️Some educators take the research as a personal attack. I am speaking as a former balanced literacy teacher in NYC who trained with Calkin's staff developers and was a model classroom. Science is science.
@NancyYoung_@benjaminheddy I took sign language in college and would LOVE to continue. When I was working at the district level I was observing a first-grade classroom that had a sweet girl signing with her para. Being able to have “small talk” lit up her face and my heart.
