@AyoCaesar I mean isn't it already over? how can this miscommunication even happen within that level of leadership? can they not talk about this shit two minutes before nuking the legitimacy of their party with that incredibly stupid move!!!!? this is beyond frustrating.
so it was basically a protest decision by the Trump admin to prevent the only internationally acknowledged Palestinian authority from entering the country. What is this fourth grade lvl politics?? shame

@owenjonesjourno oh believe me they're just loud on the internet. Look at the percentages they represent irl through voting numbers. Dudes be 0,02 on a sunny day.
@arisroussinos they're Alawite ethnic groups independent from Assad. Because they view Assad as a traitor who abandoned them. I've heard many of them say that, but it's not the official public sentiment because honestly no one cares about Assad anymore and it's culturally a given at this point.
@arisroussinos ngl I'de rather have all of this discussion in the open without any filteration, than it being hidden in the taboo section. Regardless of how perveted and dirty the covers are! let's just see the issue as it is. British media can navigate just a little bit, German media is stuck.
@RamiJarrah I used to really hate these types of people but honestly I'm starting to pity them. Can you imagine the level of mental illness and twisted cognition it takes to actually support someone like Assad? honestly it's the worst fate imaginable for any human.
The Syrian situation is extremely complex and heated. Sectarian tensions were simply bound to happen, and a matter of time to manifest in many regions of the country. This is why Rojava wisely wants to wait until everything is settled, before merging with the rest of Syria.
Some will argue that tensions are high, and that’s understandable, but this is very dangerous.
An armed civilian from Azaaz, angered by the unrest in the coastal region: "any Allawite that lifts his head, we will stomp on"
While the second man tries to steer the message away from targeting just the Alawites, the crowd embraces the sectarian sentiment, and many online are sharing and justifying such rhetoric. If unchecked, this kind of rhetoric will send the wrong message, repeating itself until all hell breaks loose.
I’m not saying this doesn’t go both ways, those from other sects should also be held accountable for inciting violence. But if we truly want a solution for Syria, we must recognise that the Sunni majority is now in power, and they have both the responsibility and the means to show restraint without appearing weak.
@RamiJarrah this will be the ultimate test for this new governing power, which should control such groups and stop them from acting on their personal grievances.
@samdagher@huspsa@yashar Thank you for writing such a beautiful book! I just finished it and couldn't help but cry at the end of it. Your work is very very much appreciated! I kept remembering every detail I experienced throughout the revolution. Such accuracy is truly impressive!
@arisroussinos what worries me the most is Turkey's roll in this whole mess. They killed two kurdish journalists just today! They're almost determined to ruin any positive kurdish experience they can't control. Jolani seems to be conflicted in this regard.
@3lfares these campists are so disgusting! They think they're against "empire" while simping for another falling empire. I can't believe that some people are actually defending a dictator like Assad! 80% of the Syrian people are celebrating in the streets right now! do they not matter??
