Maybe don't tell people with depression and suicidal ideation that all they are is a bummer and people don't want to be around them when they're literally trying their best to just make it through each day

Constantly asking people if they're ok and trying to make sure they're are not upset is a form of emotional monitoring.
It can damage relationships.

When we didn't get affection or many kind words in childhood, it feels awkward to be complimented. It can feel uncomfortable to be touched. When our brains and nervous systems were developing we never associated affection with safety and love.
In the toxic family system, the healthiest person causes friction. They create resistance in the familiar dynamics and other members become uncomfortable. If family members are unwilling to see their role, this person can become the scapegoat.
when someone hurts us, we want to understand the why behind their actions. that desire to understand may stem from how deeply we care about them or our desire to preserve the relationship but it’s also our need for control. if i can understand their reasoning and explain away their motive, then it will hurt less and i can forgive sooner.
Relationships aren't fairy tales.
We've been conditioned to believe that relationships should be easy.
They aren't.
Any close relationship will challenge you, trigger you, and they will require you to have uncomfortable conversations on a consistent basis.
Fairy tales sounds good, because all of us have a younger part of ourselves that wants to be rescued from life as we know it. This isn't our partner's job.
The true appreciation, respect, and mutual growth comes from getting doing hard things together.
