Vitamin C does not boost your immune system. It recharges the weapon your immune cells use to kill.

Neutrophils engulf bacteria and destroy them with a bleach-like molecule. That works. But the process burns through the cell's internal vitamin C every time.

So neutrophils pump it back in. Up to 80 times the concentration in blood. Active, energy-requiring process. Not passive diffusion.

The effect is regenerative, not stimulatory. The cell already knows how to kill. Vitamin C keeps it operational between kills.

200 mg/day saturates neutrophil concentration. Higher doses may not increase this further in healthy individuals. Where it matters most: infection, surgery, sustained physical stress. These are the conditions that actually drain the system at a more dramatic pace.

🔷️En atención primaria y en entornos ambulatorios, los pacientes con sospecha de Trombosis Venosa Profunda (TVP) según la regla de decisión clínica y una prueba de dímero D positiva deben ser remitidos para diagnóstico por imágenes.
🔷️La ecografía venosa es la prueba de imagen de primera línea. Puede realizarse examinando únicamente las venas poplítea y femoral común (prueba de 2 puntos) o mediante imágenes ampliadas que incluyan las venas de la pantorrilla.
🔷️Los hallazgos ecográficos en presencia de TVP incluyen:
✔️Falta de compresibilidad venosa.
✔️Visualización directa del trombo con dilatación venosa.
✔️Flujo sanguíneo Doppler color y espectral anormal.
🔷️Las anomalías se clasifican típicamente como TVP aguda, trombo agudo sobre crónico, cambios postrombóticos crónicos o indeterminados.
