Happy to introduce an ancestry estimation submodule in the hapla framework. If you have phased genotype data, unsupervised ancestry estimation has never been faster or more accurate!

We further find that PRSs computed from large-scale GWAS summary statistics on depression and schizophrenia are highly correlated with estimated principal components in the iPSYCH cohort, thus, indicating residual confounding due to population structure in the GWASs.
I am excited that our *hapla* framework for fast and scalable haplotype clustering in phased genotype data has been published in Nature Communications! @simonrasmu@MichaelBenros

Delighted that our fastmixture manuscript has now been peer-reviewed and recommended in PCI Evol Biol, now 30x faster than ADMIXTURE! #openscience

Fastmixture is finally out!!! Super cool new alternative to ADMIXTURE! This work has been led by @Rosemeis91 and in collaboration with Cindy Santander and me! Check out the preprint and start saving computing time when running your ancestry analysis.
What began as casual discussions and a small hobby project has now evolved into a full manuscript. We are excited to introduce you to "fastmixture", a much faster alternative to ADMIXTURE that doesn't compromise on accuracy in ancestry estimation.

Happy to introduce our new framework for window-based haplotype clustering, hapla! Here we utilize inferred haplotype clusters for heritability estimation and polygenic prediction but there should be plenty of future applications with this data structure! 👾

Vittrup Man – The life-history of a genetic foreigner in Neolithic Denmark...
The lethally maltreated body of Vittrup Man was deposited in a Danish bog, probably as part of a ritualised sacrifice...
Like the start of a true story...
