@ItsMeMTJohnson@agraybee That's part of the lore - Anakin was obsessed during his padawan years with the duel between Obiwan and Maul and how he beat him. And always wanted to prove he was better than Obiwan. Hence the "don't try it".
Interesting point. I think (maybe differently to others) of the left/right axis as being along the lines of the size of the state and govt intervention. Thus, the further right, smaller govt, more libertarian, and in your words, "capable of justice if left alone." Whereas the left requires larger govt intervention and force to achieve its ends.
This is probably why we all argue so much... different meanings of the same words, talking past each other.
@Con_Tomlinson It's indeed sad that Reform fell into classic political correctness and pearl-clutching to score virtue points. Some of these people could have been great. It seems like even just the promise of power can corrupt one's principles and get them to play the silly power games.
@GentlemanMashr@jasonc_nc This is my gf's coffee of choice... but when I get an americano I also prefer it with a splash of milk than black.
Yeah drip coffee is not so common, and it's also not as nice as a freshly made coffee.
@MikeySmithNZ What's the vibe on this in NZ these days? I haven't lived there for 15 years, but it was always a cultural non-starter. Like the anti-nuclear thing was imprinted in the national identity.
@Heccles94 Exactly the opposite, Harry. A billionaire has created a product that has improved the living standards for the millions of customers that it serves. If it didn't lower their costs or improve living standards, they wouldn't buy it, and the billionaire wouldn't exist.
@dieworkwear "Let me show you Derelicte. It is a fashion, a way of life inspired by the very homeless, the vagrants, the crack whores that make this wonderful city so unique."
