@ParaAndy90 Not going this year as I now have a tiny human to look after but did go last year - I used it as a networking opportunity for my job but even if you’re just going to see what’s there, it’s well worth it. loads of freebies like pens there too! Was a good day there I thought
@ParaAndy90 I’ve had similar as a CFR… family moaning cause they wanted an ambulance. They couldn’t grasp the concept of a first responder and that the call was low acuity (non inj faller). Got them up with camel, referred to GP via CSD and left at home. Crew = hours. CFR = 20 minutes
@ParaAndy90 At what point would you respond on lights, I’m assuming for a yellow call and up?
I think there’s a place for common sense in using lights, some calls really don’t need them, even some Amber calls (Or orange in wales) don’t need lights, especially if they’re several hours old
@Northern_Bobby I didn’t join when I had the opportunity in 2021 but I always made sure if I was attending Force HQ that I was greeting appropriately. Either ‘Sir’ or ‘Ma’am’ or by rank if displayed. I didn’t know who’s who so was always polite, even to civilian staff, manners are free!
@monzo Hi - It said I can’t do anything for 7 days. It’s not a merchant issue and seems to be a processing issue somewhere. Not exactly fair to wait 7 days before I can even attempt to get the second transaction reversed
Hey @monzo , you’ve taken money for the same transaction twice and left the account in overdraft. See photo showing the contactless declined so used chip and pin. That went through but now you’ve charged it again. How can I get the second payment returned?
@Screwfix I’ve the attached order come up on my account but it’s nothing I’ve ordered and isn’t even my local store. I can’t see any money missing from my bank either so wondering if someone has messed up in a store
@hines_stephen (2/2) - Excessive wait time for engineer is subjective but we usually say around 90 mins-2 hours and then we make a decision by speaking with our on call technicians to see what they recommend. In 6 years, I’ve only called fire out once as someone was having a panic attack
@hines_stephen So this is a situation I deal with where I work. For us to justify calling Fire out we have to have a defined requirement why they can’t wait - Medical issue in lift, fire alarm sounding in building, pregnant person/child in lift or excessive wait time (1/2)
Hey @DwrCymru , are you ever going to sort out the water supply in Baglan? Seems to be at least once a month we have no water, discoloured water or almost no pressure. It’s a joke to be paying for rubbish service
@simontutt88 I don’t think some are even doctors tbh, seems to suspect.
Ultimately, there’s nothing different a GP can do most of the time to what a paramedic can do. I’m all for keeping GP’s free for GP stuff and other HCPs dealing with stuff appropriate for their training
@simontutt88 One of the morons you blocked has been saying paramedics don’t even have training 🤣🤣 Apparently all patients should be taken to hospital 🤷 Imagine the chaos it would cause in the ED’s
@ParaAndy90 There’s a load of so called ‘doctors’ with that opinion currently. One even saying paramedics have no training 🤦♂️ I tend to think these people are trolls rather than medical stuff
@LostDazes@DrHuw The same goes for all healthcare professionals. Nobody knows everything, everyone gets things wrong. If paramedics ‘don’t have the training’, why are they allowed to work autonomously on an ambulance without doctor supervision? Paramedics are highly trained despite your beliefs
