I am short, petite and generally good natured unless annoyed. recent T4b colorectal cancer diagnosis & ostomate. Trying to find herself in this new reality
@ThanksCancer Iโm a cancer patient which means that one day Iโll have a chance to see my family again
๐ฅน๐ฅน๐ฅน not sure quite what to feel about that ๐ญ๐ญ
@NatsWoodward Giving you strength to get through the day. Itโs wonderful you get to celebrate and love on your friend with her. That is something to cherish for all of you ๐
@CancerCanuck Iโm so sorry, Jason was a huge part of the community and did so much to inform and support those with cancer. He touched so many lives including my own, helping me when I needed. He was a beautiful soul #fuckcancer
Today is #StomaAware day
I received my permanent stoma after a bowel cancer diagnosis
Since then I have complications from my initial surgery requiring further surgery, changes to diet, changes to body image, needed new clothing as didnโt fit with stoma 1:2
2:2
Placement and the need to wear a stoma bag 24/7
Iโve had 3 leaks of stool when the adhesion/bag failed - 1 in public and had to do walk of shame home
I will forever be tied to healthcare for the rest of my life and need various medical equipment to manage the stoma
Donctors literally cut out parts, then poison you, then fucking irradiate you โ and the muggles are like โARENT YOU SO HAPPY NOW?! Everything is fine! Itโs amazing that you are so happy just to be aLiVe!!โ

@NatsWoodward Remember you are amazing and that life is indeed beautiful and wonderful in whatever form it happens. Even if that differs from what we imagined life to be life
It is up to us to make the most of the life given to us. โฅ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐งก
Donctor: โThere are supply chain issues affecting your cancer.โ
Patient: โHow so?โ
Donctor: โWell, your body is running dangerously low on white cells.โ
Patient: โHuh. I guess nobody wants to work anymore.โ
Donctor: โYour body doesnโt.โ
