@reinprime @Nogardtist @plasma_node of course it doesn’t. what i’m saying is that it has already been rendered (or “trained”) in a machine somewhere and doesn’t use additional energy to play it back.

@reinprime @Nogardtist @plasma_node idk if this is actually the case, but most likely this is no different than pre-rendering a video and playing it back, just that this is a realtime 3d environment that you can orbit around.
so i don't see how it would have a footprint bigger than a pixar movie for example

@Nogardtist @plasma_node @reinprime you have no idea what ai even is. i know it has a lot of problems, both environmentally and ethically, but you and the “anti-ai” crowd in general are just misinformed. there’s no point in “boycotting” something like an algorithm like this one because it’s an “ai”.

should we boycott phone keyboards and go back to blackberries?
