It started with jam.

Then one TikTok video went viral, and the numbers took off.

By month 3:

Month 6:

Every subscriber gets a 1oz letter mailed to them every month, which includes...

All-in startup cost: $1,000.

$11 a month per subscriber. Materials and postage run $4 to $5 a letter, fulfillment labor adds another $0.75, so cost per letter lands at $5 to $6. That's a 55% gross margin.

She packs about 1,000 letters a week during send-off week, 3 to 4 hours a day, then ships them all in one day at the USPS distribution center. The rest of the month, her main job is design.

What's wild is how much upside is still sitting in the business untouched...

Hannah is still charging new subscribers the same $11 she charged her first 50. There's no email capture on the site, or subscription platform tracking churn.

Fix those and you're looking at a $5M a year biz, the kind that sells for 4 to 6x EBITDA.

Not bad for something that started with jars of jam on a neighbor's porch.
