@mportillo7673@tom_karnes@doctor2pi Hey Marina,
We agreed about using loaner chromebooks because they were offered to me when I was a senior in high school. However, it was such a sudden change that a lot of people were unfamiliar with all this tech. Workshops would have been helpful #EDTE4200#csubted@doctor2pi
@cris2x_@tom_karnes@doctor2pi Hey Cris,
Not having enough funding is so common in these types of situations. Going to a library/school is a great idea for some. It can be hard if people do not live close by. Also, they are not open 24/7 and people have other things going on. #EDTE4200#csubted@doctor2pi
@tom_karnes A3) Technology is expensive so loaning out chromebooks and free wifi can help students have access at home. However, if something happened to their rentals, they are required to pay for a replacement which can steer people away from that option. #EDTE4200#csubted@doctor2pi
@ms_mendozac@doctor2pi Hey Celina,
Youtube is such an amazing app that is easy to work with when it's used the right way. I'm constantly looking up videos when I need help with a skill. However, I didn't know there was a translate option. That is definitely a need. #EDTE4200#csubted@doctor2pi
@KierstenSCSUB@doctor2pi Hey Kiersten,
I love using flipgrid because I like seeing people actually talk rather than reading a post. This is the best way to interact way more efficiently. In terms of helping a student with their language progress, it is an easy app to use. #EDTE4200#csubted@doctor2pi
@doctor2pi A2) One program I have seen in elementary school is the EL Program at my work. If they speak a language other than English, a trained aide will come in with their own curriculum to help the student improve their English. It is available at request. #EDTE4200#CSUBTED@doctor2pi
@AVelascoCSUB @BarnellNicole@doctor2pi Hey Andrew,
A lot of teachers use I work with use Remind which is a great idea. Sometimes, students have so much going on that certain assignments can just sneak up on us. Remind helps students keep up with their homework/events happening in the class. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200
@hheatherh101@BarnellNicole@Duncannedd Hey Heather,
I personally love getting in a google hangout with a teacher and students because it is easier than try to meet in person. We all have our different schedules and it is sometimes hard to meet in person at the same time.#CSUBTED#EDTE4200
@BarnellNicole A1)Teachers can use technology for staying connected with students and their progress. Using online surveys through google forms to check in with students or receive feedback can help understand students needs. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200@doctor2pi
@doctor2pi Teachers and parents can use technology for staying connected on events, meetings, and student progress. Since people are not able to always meet in person, utilizing online meetings like zoom are a great way to stay keep up with student's success. #CSUBTED#EDTE4200@doctor2pi

One time I struck out 3 times in a row and was crying on the way home. My dad looked over and said “i don’t know why you’re crying, you played like crap today”
