At 16 I was depressed, on medication, no ambition, overeating and withdrew from friends and family.
Now at 36, I'm happier and healthier than I've ever been, help others look and feel their best, and have traveled the world
The key to changing my life was changing my body
@KettlebellDan I genuinely enjoy sitting with my friends having a beer or cocktail at a great tasting room or brewery, tasting the flavors, trying new beers/spirits out. It bonds us in a unique way. Do we need it? Of course not, but we like it. And thats the benefit.
Been seeing a lot of hate on AG1 again recently...would love some info, data, from anyone that's willing to share why its good, why its a waste, etc.
I realize I can look it up, but want to hear from real people
Thanks๐ค
@Theholisticpsyc Thanks got acknowledging that. My response was inspired by the fact that many people will take what you said and reshare with their intent being to bully and belittle men as scared, hurt little boys. This of course is not productive.
@RyanHoliday Great reminder and hits home.
I have a 15k tomorrow and have a goal time in mind. Hitting the goal and title of "i did it!" Weighs on me.
But I know my effort the last 4 months of training and my effort tomorrow, regardless of the result, are what have fueled my soul
Most men won't tell you this, but here is why they feel stuck:
They donโt move enough
They donโt speak their truth
They donโt say โnoโ often enough
They donโt know what they stand for
They donโt create, they consume
You don't need motivation, you need to remember who you are
Yesterday I wrote The Modern Man's Survival Guide. In it I discuss the 12 essentials to resist distraction in the age of digitalization.

Hereโs how modern life makes you weaker without you noticing:
Convenience replaces capability
Scrolling replaces creation
Dopamine replaces discipline
Hustle replaces heart
Softness replaces standards
Youโre not "fine."
You're fading.
Letโs cut through the BS
โI just want to be healthyโ is a lie you tell yourself to avoid going deeper.
If your why doesnโt punch you in the gut, it wonโt pull you out of bed at 5 a.m.
Powerful results donโt come from vague goals, they come from visceral reasons.
Making your own life a nice alternative to the less-than-ideal "outside world" will open you up to criticism, judgment, and discomfort that most aren't willing to go through.
From my experience and observation, most people intent on "changing the world" are generally unhappy with their own lives.
Ignoring what's right in front of you in favor of what's out there supplies a superiority complex for many.
This is heightened with labels like "world changer" or "disruptor"
The only way large structures change is when being a part of them is too uncomfortable.
Focusing on your own life removes the insecure need to change everything else.
