@anybody_mcc @RichardDawkins Actually yes, in a sexual species ‘no sex' is another kind of sex an individual could be, in addition to male and female (contrary to Dawkins' claim of a binary either/or). An individual could be male, female, or neither; that’s at least 3 possibilities.

Scharer (p95) defines males & females as “gonochoristic individuals that only produce one type of gamete throughout their life”. By that def a gamete-switching clownfish is neither male nor female, but a different non-binary (organism) sex.

Why should our gender categories (man/woman) should be based on gametes only & not consider the sex of the rest of people's bodies? Gamete-gender doesn't match actually existing gender categories.
