Naturally, the “Tesla has issued a free over-the-air software update to fix the problem” part was put at the bottom of the post lol.

30 articles have been written about this new “recall” but the headlines lack the over-the-air software update context, which misleads people into believing that Teslas are more unreliable than they actually are. People don’t usually read past the headline.

I still think it’s dumb to put an over-the-air software update that gets completed in the comfort of your home in the same category as a physical recall that actually requires a visit to a service center. Having a clearer distinction in the terminology would be good.

Also, the fact that Tesla has to send a physical paper notice in the mail to all of those 220,000 Tesla owners notifying them of a software update that has ALREADY been installed, is stupid.

But today we got a bill for property taxes.

If we don't pay it, ARMED MEN will come & take it from us & then cage me until I pay them MY MONEY.

"Couple of months ago my friend got a Tesla Model Y 2026 and recently went overseas for 3 weeks, so he let me use it.

I had never driven an electric car before and always thought about range anxiety. But man, this was an eye opening experience. After about a week, I stopped worrying about range completely. I’d just come home, plug it in, and every morning it was fully charged.

After driving with FSD and one pedal driving, I can’t go back to my car anymore. My friend came back from his trip and took the car last Friday, and now I can’t stand driving my gas car. Everything feels obsolete and stupid, like I’m driving a 30 year old car with no tech. I actually get mad at it now, and it’s only been 3 days. I’ve never felt like this about my car before.

After 3 weeks, I went from “I love my car” to “this is old shit.” Looks like I can’t tolerate any other cars anymore.

Hypothetically…….. I’m being taxed on money I never made. Let that sink in.
If I bought my property outright for $60,000 in 2009
Now the county says it’s worth $246,000.
Did I sell it? No.
Did I make a profit? No.
Did I get a check for $246,000? No.
But my taxes jumped like I did.
That’s the problem.
This isn’t income.
This isn’t cash.
This is a number someone decided on paper — and now I’m being billed for it.
If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell.
If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax.
So why does owning a home work differently?
Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains?
A house isn’t just an investment — it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money.
You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it.
This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.”
It’s about being charged for value you never received.
