One of my nearest and dearest, @Bealtaine6, is looking for participants for the important work she's doing. If you or someone you know may be interested in participating, please do get in thouch with her!
I just signed this #petition calling on this #government to end all unnecessary #herbicide use in #Ireland. Will you sign too? https://t.co/kIoQFVpzuc via @UpliftIRL
In contrast to last week's disappointment after no confirmed sightings of a Great Yellow Bumblebee on the Mullet Peninsula, I was thrilled to record a Red-shanked Carder Bee (Bombus ruderarius) just before the weather packed it in!

Purple pollen baskets on this queen red tail. Apologies for crappy phone photo. Lots of scabious out on the ditch too in addition to wild thyme.

'Imagine a world where bumblebees could vote'
Our poem for #RestoreNatureNow, superbly performed by author and staff member Darryl accompanied by his young son.
We think it went down well with the crowd!
@RNNMarch
Delighted that @MargaretTallott from our working group was able to attend this on our behalf. She's come home with lots of ideas. Many thanks to all the organisers.
Not a day for #pollinator#surveys on Mullet today! At least I didn't have to go out to confirm it myself. Instead I spent the afternoon with @gemma0connor, working on #GIS! Thanks for the confirmation photo, the good company, and delicious dinner Gemma!
It was a bit on the windy side, but I couldn't help but feel their absence since I've seen them out in similar conditions on the Mullet before!
The frightening reality of climate change at play, I fear..
A weather enforced #deskwork day!
The printer at home has given up the ghost so in preparation for my site visit tomorrow I went to my #local#library to print of some materials. The staff are helpful and friendly, but the computers are painfully slow...

Really enjoyed the Lynda Huxley's (@Natureofireland) presentation on the red-listed Swift at today's @CIEEMnet Lunchtime chat - very informative and inspiring!
Listen to @RTECountryWide and @ellamcsweeney interview our very own @GYB_Project farmer Joseph Geraghty, and our working group member @DaraStanley about bumblebees and particularly the Great Yellow Bumblebee (roughly at 32.41 minutes in) - https://t.co/Cq4GGUTouw
