O Bird, that flies to throne of God, you must keep this truth in sight;
to suffer death is nobler far, than bread that clogs your upward flight.
Death is better than a life of slavery.
I have previously only called on people associated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to protest, but since the final nail has now been hammered into the coffin of democracy in our country after February 8th (2024), it is the entire nation’s duty to come out to protest against this oppression. Come out on November 24th with the same passion that you demonstrated on February 8th, when you came out, despite all the challenges, to prove the power of your vote.
The foundational pillars of democracy - rule of law, fair and transparent elections, and freedom of expression - are suspended in our country. The media is under severe censorship. There is a complete ban on broadcasting my statements and the media is having to operate under severe restrictions. The repeated disruption of the internet to suppress the voice of the people has cost the country 550 billion rupees this year. According to newspaper reports, internet performance in Pakistan has been limited to only 27%. All these heinous steps are only being taken to somehow crush PTI and suppress our voice.
From Shahbaz Gill to Intazar Panjutha, there is a whole series of enforced disappearances, brutality, and violence against PTI workers, for which no one has been able to obtain justice. The Punjab government and the police get away with it by claiming that the military is asking them to do this. The Army is a national institution; it does not belong to a single person or party, and these incidents are bringing our national security institutions into disrepute.
PTI has always been, and still is, ready for every challenge and difficulty. PTI stood against the external interference which took place through (the US Assistant Secretary of State) Donald Lu and (the then Chief of Army Staff) General Bajwa. After which, bogus assemblies were created following fraudulent elections, which attacked the independence of the judiciary. It is impossible for a democracy to exist without an independent judiciary.
I have always been ready for negotiations for the sake of our country. Whenever we talked about negotiations with the caretaker government, they responded with fascism and put our people in jails. The sort of repression that PTI faced in the post-regime change era did not exist even under Stalin’s dictatorship. When we asked for timely elections, they were delayed until Nawaz Sharif returned after (Chief Justice) Qazi Faez Isa took office. In what democracy are elections delayed until hand-picked individuals are put in place? The responsibility for negotiations not taking place lies with them, not us.
Everyone must join the protest on November 24th. If any PTI leader or ticket holder is not able to ensure their participation in the protest, they should disassociate themselves from the party because this is the decisive moment when the entire nation will come out for freedom. The nation will not accept any excuse at such a critical time.
This is a golden opportunity to secure genuine freedom for Pakistan. Enslaved nations eventually die away. That is why, as a nation, we must be ready to choose death over slavery, and the call for protest on November 24th is not only for PTI but for the entire nation.
Overseas Pakistanis understand what genuine freedom and democracy mean. They should demand the same freedoms and rights for their fellow Pakistanis that they enjoy in their own countries. Overseas Pakistanis should also record protests in their respective countries and contribute whole-heartedly to fund-raising for PTI.
Our family has appealed to all party office holders, senior leadership, MNAs, MPAs, and Senators to come to Adiala Jail this Tuesday to build pressure on the government to:
1. Allow immediate access for Imran Khan’s lawyers and family.
2. Transfer Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital for proper medical examination and treatment, in the presence of specialists, his personal doctor, and family.
3. Ensure Chief Justice Dogar takes up the bail applications of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi so they can be released from this illegal imprisonment without delay.
Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are being held in solitary confinement, one of the harshest forms of treatment in violation of Pakistani law and international human rights standards.

I told @ft on Gen Munir and Pakistan’s delicate mediating role:
In Tehran, they would have given him [Munir] a difficult time, and questioned why he was pushing so hard for mediation — was it genuine or was he part of a ruse to get them to bring their guard down. Pakistanis are serious interlocutors, but what they can’t deliver is any guarantees on Trump’s behavior. They can’t say we promise the US won’t do A, B, C. And there’s nothing Munir can do about that. https://t.co/nuXRxGVVIS via @ft
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan is in solitary confinement since October 16, 2025.
He has spoken to his sons only twice in 2025 and once in February 2026 after Supreme Court orders. He has been denied books to read. He has received only 3 of the dozen books that we managed to get to adiala through a judge.
Then, a perfectly health and fit Imran Khan suddenly develops a clot in his eye. He was not provided medical assistance. For two weeks, he repeatedly told the jail superintendent that he CANNOT SEE.
The Adiala Jail superintendent Ghafoor Anjum DELAYED calling in a specialist for three months.
By the time the eye doctor came, the delay caused permanent damage to Imran Khan’s eye. We are extremely worried that his other eye could also develop a clot.
Imran khan has repeatedly sent messages over past few months that he is not satisfied with the treatment and there is only marginal improvement after the first injection in the eye. No improvement since then.
Over the past month, Bushra Bibi, his wife has also developed an eye condition and was operated upon last week.
Imran khan and his wife are being tortured through solitary confinement. We have repeatedly protested, demanding Imran Khan to be examined and treated at Shifa International Islamabad. There is an urgent need to identify the cause of the blood clot. Our worry is that his other eye could also develop a clot unless proper diagnosis is done and it’s treated accordingly
This is inhumane and a violation of all fundemental and human rights of a prisoner under Pakistan and International laws.

“I will comeback” Imran Khan
The greatest comeback of the century
Perfect day to release it - April 10th; the day when Pakistan came together for Imran Khan & democracy.
🇺🇸🇮🇷The war nobody is framing correctly is about the dollar, not the nukes...
Iran was selling 90% of its oil to China in yuan. Not dollars.
It was part of a broader BRICS push to bypass the dollar in global energy trade. Venezuela was doing the same.
Trump took out both within weeks of each other. That's not a coincidence.
The entire American economic model runs on one assumption: the world buys and sells oil in dollars, and those dollars get recycled back into U.S. debt.
The GCC is the engine of that system.
Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain sell oil in dollars and reinvest the proceeds into American assets.
That cycle funds the $39 trillion in national debt that keeps the American economy functioning.
Iran threatened that system in two ways. It sold oil outside the dollar.
And it had the military capability to threaten the GCC nations that anchor the petrodollar.
A nuclear-armed Iran could eventually coerce its neighbors into abandoning the dollar entirely.
Now look at what the war actually achieved.
Iran's ability to threaten the GCC militarily is being degraded.
Gulf states that were quietly diversifying toward China are now completely dependent on American protection again.
The F-35 sale to Saudi Arabia locks Riyadh into the U.S. weapons ecosystem for decades.
And every Iranian oil sale in yuan that gets taken offline is a sale that reverts back to dollars.
The consequences if this fails are existential.
If the U.S. withdraws from the Middle East without securing the petrodollar system, the GCC could become client states of whoever guarantees their security next.
Japan and South Korea would question American reliability.
Europe would accelerate its pivot away from Washington.
Dollar demand collapses and America can no longer finance its debt.
That's why there's no real off-ramp.
The nukes are the justification. The missiles are the pretext.
The dollar is the reason.
And the people paying the price are everyone caught in between.

Kasim Khan spoke at today's UNHRC side event on "Pakistan's GSP+ status: human rights conditionality, treaty obligations and accountability." He referenced Pakistan's binding GSP+ commitments to rights conventions, cited alleged violations including his father's 1000-day solitary detention, and urged UN compliance plus release of political prisoners. Video shows no call to revoke GSP+ status—the framing in the post is inaccurate.
Today, I had the honour of speaking to the 47 countries that comprise the @UN#HumanRightsCouncil urging the immediate release of my father @imrankhanpti and all #Pakistan’s #politicalprisoners. Along with this, I want to be very clear. Like my father, I fully support maintaining GSP+ as the people of #Pakistan should never be punished for the actions of its leaders. But the Pakistani regime must also fully comply with the 27 treaties it committed to follow to obtain this benefit, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Convention Against Torture. @UN@ptiofficial #HumanRights #ImranKhanUnlawfullyDetained
