ECCE services where spoken about in the Dáil last night. These services simply will not survive without a rise in capitation. Please @rodericogorman address the issue today. These services cannot fill in your sector profile without commitment from your department to resolve this.

@rodericogorman@rtenews @dcediy you’ve taken away our psp and higher cap and incorporated it into this funding, total discrimination against level 5/6 staff ..leaving the majority of ELC worse off than we ever have been! Wait and see how many services close because of this!
In #Budget22, we introduced a new funding stream for Early Learning and School-Age #Childcare worth €221m.
This new Core Funding will support services to improve staff wages, improve sustainability, and will be contingent on them not increasing fees.
Why have we not received the details of the core funding. We need to control our businesses. No capping of fees. The rate of inflation is so high. So fees must reflect this. We will not sign these contracts without consultation and negotiation. @rodericogorman

Minister @rodericogorman we are all very grateful for the hard work you have done for our sector. We are still so far behind the EU level of funding and would like to see the funding being doubled asap. Parents are working with the Fecp and we feel their voices need to be heard
Will the Government ever fund childcare Properly? or will they constantly twist the truth that they are there for providers, we as providers often go out of our way for parents and children, it's time the Government supported us properly financially and non financially.
The capping of fees has never been discussed with providers. A discussion on this must take place. We need to stand up for our business. We can no longer be treated this way. A contract is between two parties who have worked together on an agreement. @FederationEarly
Childhood providers have been waiting for a new funding model for over 10 years. We are still waiting since Budget day for details of the new funding model. If this not be to our satisfaction , the time for talking should end and action should be taken. @rodericogorman@FineGael
We all know our minister has done so much for our sector @rodericogorman it is lack of chronic underinvestment from Government for many years that has our sector in the state it is in today. The system is broken. The Government need to double investment now @Parents_Change
@MurphyDunne Agree completely, however parents are not the ones who have to sign the contract and organise the settings and recruit the staff. The priority is the providers. Without us the parents are completely irrelevant in the situation. Their needs can be dealt with once we get the deal.
Week is almost done and we are still in the dark about the overdue core funding and the contracts we HAVEN'T agreeded to. What weekend? working through a mountain of paperwork here so I can give quality time to the children #burnout#ValueEarlyYears@MurphyDunne@rodericogorman
We are told we have to wait until March to see this new core funding. We understand that it takes time to work out the mechanism. We where told February. Please don’t push this out any further. We cannot make business decisions. Parents are left in limbo as to what is happening.
