I send my deepest sympathies on the death of the former Minister of Finance and Sardaunan Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji.

The late Sardaunan Sokoto was an outstanding public servant, a capable administrator, and a devoted Nigerian. Over the years, he made remarkable contributions to the growth and development of our nation. In his roles as a Federal Permanent Secretary, Minister of Finance, and Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, he exemplified competence, discipline, professionalism, and steadfast dedication to Nigeria’s progress.

His demise is a great loss to his immediate family, the Sokoto Caliphate, and the entire nation. He was part of a generation of public officers whose rich experience, deep institutional knowledge, and commitment to service should continue to inspire future generations.

On behalf of my family and associates, I convey our sincere condolences to his family, His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sokoto State Government, and all Nigerians.

May the Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good works, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. I also pray that Allah gives his family and everyone mourning him the strength and patience to bear this painful loss.

The commission is owing agents after buying licenses with a lot of money.
