@levelsio@dhh Maybe if you all stayed in your countries of birth and paid taxes there, your native countries wouldn't need to import immigrants to fill your empty seats.
It was: Human β Real life
Right now itβs: Human β Real life β Feed β Human.
Next comes: Human β AI β Feed β Human.
Eventually, itβll shrink to: AI β Feed β Human.
Once AI starts remixing its own output, the feed becomes a copy of a copy. Nothing new. The loop eats itself, and weβre back to the only place with fresh data: Human β Real life.
'Superintelligent AI will, by default, cause human extinction.'
Eliezer Yudkowsky spent 20+ years researching AI alignment and reached this conclusion.
He bases his entire conclusion on two theories: Orthogonality and
Instrumental convergence.
Let me explain π§΅
@opolsce_social @levelsio It's not that simple. An immigrant pays taxes as well. But equal rights mean equal access to the systems they're contributing to. Excluding people from legitimate economic opportunities while they're still paying into the system, you create perverse incentives that hurt everyone.
I agree with you. But if you dig deeper into the case, you will find out that the "proper" way for immigrants to assimilate is to provide equal rights. In other cases, when people are excluded from legitimate economic opportunities and social systems, it creates the exact problems we're trying to avoid - pushing people toward informal economies and undermining the integration process.

@levelsio Maybe the goal isn't getting rich (which only happens for 1% anyway), but having a stable, peaceful life. Europe chose to make that possible for many, even if fewer became wealthy. Different values, different outcomes.
@mrblackstudio@framer@figma While this has absolutely no connection to yoga and that comparison feels forced, it does sound like a fun synth to play around with for creating ambient soundscapes.
@NoBrakesGames, please fix the Mac version of the game on Steam. It looks like you packed the Win platform into the Mac package. It seems like an easy fix, but it's been a week.
