@anduriltech May we also remember those who fell and barely survived, so broken they need intensive care. I weep when I think of those I've seen at a VA hospital.

@ambersmith Amber, I only just now saw this. I don’t use X much. It is great to know that you continue in your tradition.

@bfeld@davidcohen Way to go, @bfeld
Pretty astounding stuff you’ve done
And keep on doing
Especially encouraging to see that focus on International entrepreneurial and venture capital endeavors!

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
Matthew 5:11-12 NIV
This kind of thing used to annoy me as a cradle-to-grave Catholic. Every year or so a film would be released— so obviously offensive in its portrayal — and friends or colleagues would ask “Did you see Conclave”? Did you see The Two Popes”? seemingly more gleeful at the offense than curious, I thought. But I see it very differently now. If you have no understanding or reverence for the sacred, everything becomes spectacle. Everything is mere entertainment to be deconstructed, defiled, stripped apart until there’s nothing left of it. Everything except the current dogma receives this treatment, so I don’t fault viewers, (or frankly even the filmmakers) for falling in line with this empty pattern of life.
The Church has seen this story play out for millennia. It exists to stop this pattern. Christianity gets it the worst because it’s unbreakable.
