React opinion: most context providers should just be singletons instead.
e.g. not:
<RootStoreProvider store={rootStore}>
<App />
</RootStoreProvider>
@rauschma We can actually use a default value to make `arr` at the beginning
const result = ((_=arr) => {
_ = filter(_, x => x >= 0);
_ = map(_, x => x * 2);
return _;
})();
Putin's war on Ukraine has entered its next phase, one of destruction and slaughter of civilians. It is also a part of Putin's World War, a war on the civilized world of international law, democracy, and any threat to his power, which he declared long ago. 1/13
Today at 10:30 am at the entrances to Chernihiv, Hostomel and Melitopol there were heavy fighting. People died. Next time I'll try to move the war schedule to talk to #MarioDraghi at a specific time. Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to fight for its people.

@housecor@robertbrautigam I know I'm splitting hairs but I don't think you can fully consider it to be a pure function in the sense that Haskell for instance would consider it. But close enough! It sounds like what's being discussed here https://t.co/duwWL4xmsm and seems like a good approach.
@housecor@robertbrautigam If you are injecting a side effecting function into a function that function is no longer pure. Or perhaps I'm misunderstanding? This is explained very well here: https://t.co/LOUBPVsCiu
@vergauwen_simon@igorwojda@andoriddev When is it better to use the object syntax for functions do you think? I guessing when you want something similar to a HOF that can be partially applied (e.g. for dependency injection).
@theworstdev That's interesting would love to hear more about how it translates to using it for something like React components. I've always considered it something that's mostly relevant for the backend.
