I've gotten a bunch of questions recently about GMB verification hacks.
By far the #1 way to get around it is the "add a missing place" feature.
In order to do this successfully:
1. You need a local guide acct. Level 3 at the lowest, the higher the better
2. This acct needs to be DIFFERENT than the one you intend to claim the business with
3. The acct needs to have been near the area in the last month, the more recent the better
4. Optional- build citations for 2-3 months before
We've seen about a 90% hit rate with this method in the last few months.
Just got off the phone for an hour with a dental industry legend
He hit me up from a LI post and asked for my number
Funny how hitting post on some random app can connect you with some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world
if you have no money to spend on SEO
the single greatest thing you can do is have an exact match profile for your GBP
and...
an exact match domain that houses your website (not redirected)
Example: if you're a dentist in parker colorado: Your GBP should include "Dentist" and "parker" in your name, while maintaining brand
- "ABC Dentist of Parker"
- "Dentist Parker | ABC Dental"
Your domain name should be as exact match as possible
-"dentistparkerco(.)com"
-"dentistparker(.)com"
Once you have an established exact match profile (reviews, content, structure) and an exact match website (structure, authority), you can expect to have a constant, cheap patient acquisition cost.
@StumpGuyTy had dinner with a buddy last night who (actually) just finished ranger school
told all the horror stories, a few about how his buddies had to tell him he was talking to a bush haha
multiple days in a row of 30 mins sleep
at that point i realized I'm much softer than i think
Exact match domains are still a huge lever to pull when ranking a website.
But simply buying the exact match domain for a specific service and redirecting it to your site’s service page won’t do you any good
Instead
Find a service you’d like to do more of. Then build a hyper-specific localized site for that service. Usually we make them high-ticket services like veneers.
Then, make content about veneers. What to expect, how you do them, what kinds, when they’re applicable, etc. Blast it in the hero, all over the homepage, with reviews.
Give that site some time and you will rank #1 for that service in most places. It will convert more because it is hyper-specific with veneer content, unlike a generic page that another office will have.
With any SEO- GBPs, sites, etc - the more specific and localized you can be, the better.
Exact match GBPs and domains will forever be the biggest "hack" in search
search engines like google (and AI currently, but that could change) have a tough time distinguishing between names and keywords
so if your name has the keyword in it
you have a bunch of great reviews
an exact match site with correct schema, authority, and content
you can still absolutely rank in very difficult niches.
just have to know what levers to pull
this right here is a much bigger issue than people think. especially for dentists
I had a client ask me today if they should continue to pay for ads in their local newspaper
I asked how many patients he got from the newspaper and what did it cost (basic question)
"we get some" was his answer
and it's not just him, I'd say the majority of our clients who are >50 years old would say something similar
if you're a dentist and use Weave or a comparable phone tracking software you can fix this very very easily in 5 mins:
- set up new numbers for non-online lead sources - newspapers, billboards, ads, etc. one for each source
- they will all go directly to your office phone
- collect data for 6 months
- throw data into claude
- have it filter by lead quantity AND quality (have it read your call scripts)
you HAVE to know where your marketing dollars are going and what levers are working.
otherwise you're not only throwing money away, but wasting it and the TIME when you could be doubling down with whats working.
every business owner fights call tracking for the same reason and it is the wrong reason
he thinks his number is his brand
keep the real number in the header and on the profile
swap numbers only on the ad traffic
$20 a month tells you which half of your spend is dead and which half is working
