According to you, no matter how much we hate who the President is, let us not lose our common sense or brain.

1. People were kidnapped, we blamed the government.
2. Governor run political agenda with it claiming it was because of his presidential ambition. Forgetting that it’s the joint primary responsibility of the SG and FG to secure the people.

3. While your favourite Governor was busy politicking, FG mobilized security forces, people were rescued, some kidnappers were neutralised, arrested and currently under investigation.

4. Same Governor is now calling international agencies to investigate a matter that is currently under investigation of a sovereign authority. Why did he not call on the same international agency to rescue the people when they were kidnapped. I mean if you suspected the FG was responsible for kidnapping your people, why did it take you so long to call on international bodies to investigate it.

5. I understand why it does make sense to you and why it is not funny, because your bias against the FG and dislike for a government you don’t like is now dead.

6. Yourself and other content makers like you can no longer make contents to politicize the kidnapping of the innocent people. Because their rescue sadden you more than their kidnapping excite you. Because none of you who made contents about the kidnapping has found it honourable to commend the rescue, even if it’s to commend our gallant men.

3. Seyi Makinde did not admit the FG had been working on the issue while he was partying around until a team from Abuja arrived and he admitted

4. Seyi Makinde pointed accusing fingers at LAGOS not using àmọ̀tẹ́kùn When he was asked about Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn in the state.

5. Seyi Makinde was in Bauchi claiming there was no attack in Ọ̀yọ́ state for 7 years until few hours after he declared his presidential ambitions.

6. We did not see any outlined efforts made by the state to support the FG for the rescue aside from visiting the family of the victims and offering them rice.

The big question is, what does Seyi Makinde what?

Let me add some turn of events to it

Cristiano Ronaldo had a dream, he wanted to be the GOAT 🐐 of football

Aside the from his confidence, he knew he has the talent to become the best of the best

However, he never saw Lionel Messi coming or let me say, he knew there are good players but he didn't see any sort of rivalry coming that would be this intense

Ronaldo didn't move to Real Madrid in 2009 because of any rivalry, he moved because Madrid was his dream club

On getting to Spain, he met an unstoppable team in Barcelona, while Madrid was in disarray

Madrid and Barcelona were rivals and that also automatically triggered the Ronaldo vs Messi rivalry

They were matching each other week in, week out but Messi was winning the titles and the awards

Of course it got to Ronaldo....He wanted to be the best but he is seeing another player ahead of him

The media had already created the rivalry. Madrid and Barcelona were rivals

It will get to anybody, if we reverse the case too, it will get to Messi too

However, Ronaldo didn't become 'arrogant' because of that. He already sees himself as the best from the beginning of his career

The 'arrogant tag' didn't come in Madrid, it started while he was at Manchester United

What made the matter worse was that the Ronaldo was being maligned by the media

Ronaldo being maligned by the media and Lionel Messi winning the titles and awards

It could run anybody crazy

Meetings were held, some things were resolved

If there is any religion/belief that should be praised on this topic, it is Islam. This is because it was Islam that came to dismantle these devilish folklores.

First of all, your claim that traditional belief didn't associate owl with evil or witchcraft is more of a decolonial talking point than a historical fact. There are documented evidence that showed that owl do appear negatively in some pre colonial African folklore (Yoruba inclusive) independent of Abrahamic influence.

There is a book titled "Owls Used as Food and Medicine and for Witchcraft in Africa". In short, this book found that owls have been used across ancient cultures as food or medicine as well as heralds of events.

It was used in magic or witchcraft activities, based on interview studies conducted in 20 African countries between 1996 and 2002, and it documented 333 owl killings, with 17% of cases involving owls killed because they represent an omen of death or disaster.

Therefore, the findings from this book negates what you have insinuated.

Interestingly, it was Islam that came to dismantle these beliefs. In the Pre-Islamic Arab, the pagan Arabs themselves used to fear the owl and considered it an evil omen. They called it Hama, which was their ignorant superstition that the bird brings death or bad luck.

It was the prophet who destroyed such belief. He said in Sahih al Bukhari:

لا عدوي ولا طيرة ولا هامة ولا صفر
"There is no infection conveyed without Allah's permission, no bad omen, no Hama (evil omen of the owl), and no bad omen in the month of Safar."

Let me say clearly that the pre Islamic Arabs who held this superstition never set foot in Yorubaland. If anything came to Yoruba land it is the direct opposite of what you have accused them of.

You need to verify your historical facts before sneaking our religion into your takes.

Nigeria initially had 5 and a half working days.

Monday to Friday. Then Saturday was half-day.

Sunday was a rest day.

In these times, some of the most hypocritical responses have been retorts like "Go to another school where hijab is allowed".

Anyone who is a frequent reader of news knows how much Hijab-wearing students and females have faced stiff opposition, moreso from people of their same Yoruba stock.

Nor does it take into account those who use advantage of being in public service to take advantage of it and try and dominate and bully others.

How many exclusive Government secondary schools run morning assemblies devotion.

It was Kadara High School, Lagos where Aisha Alabi was beaten 43 strokes by the Principal U.C Ukpaka for wearing Hijab.

Barira Tajudeen of Mafoluku High School in SS3, was suspended, from pending WAEC exams by the then principal, Elizabeth Omidele, for wearing Hijab.

Olatunji Salau Hawaw was denied an interview at the Federal Medical Centre Ebute-Metta, for wearing Hijab. The National Industrial Court had to describe it as discriminatory.

Olayinka Oladunjoye, the Commissioner of Education, then boldly declared Hijab was banned in Lagos.

In 2015, EKITI SIEC banned Hijab-wearing women from the local elections!

What we have are intolerant people who don't want to see any Muslim identity in Public schools, Polytechnics, Hospitals and public places, talkless of Private spaces.

Let me now address one pernicious dare being thrown around. "Leave ISI and go elsewhere". It is an unthinking dare that assumes the grounds they are on is rock solid.

Dr Lateef Adegbite had to intervene in the case of LIAD TELLA, former National Editor of Concord, when he was a student of Baptist High School, Iwo. He, as Attorney- General of Western State, got the Ministry of Education to warn that no student may be compelled to take up a religion other than that of his parents.

UNILAG ISL allows Hijabs according to their regulations and this has never been an issue.

UNILAG however has had 4 Muslims as Vice Chancellors. Saburi Biobaku, Nurudeen Alao, Jelili Omotola, Rahman Ade-Bello.

UI and OAU for example have never had a single Muslim Vice-Chancellor. Since 1948, and 1962.

Even when Professors from these schools have gone on to be VC's in other Universities.

Do you see how uncomfortable this is going?

This stupid dare is how random positions become subject of politics and quota, because people cannot trust those in administrative positions will
eschew prejudice in their functions.

They will then start demanding religious balance in allocation of positions in University and Civil service.

Is that not how we ended up with the Quota System because people couldn't trust others to discharge duties fairly without resort to ethnicity or religion.
