The development of this study was only possible thanks to the hard work of all authors, including Steléphanie A. Silva, @HeblingVieira and Carlos E. G. Salmon. 2/7
In summary, using static functional connectivity derived from an ICA-based parcellation of 25 components as input to a regularized regression model (Elastic-Net), as in Dubois et al. (2018), we were able to predict 17,5% of the general intelligence variance. 3/7
Also, we explored ICA parcellations with different dimensions (15, 25 and 50 components) and observed that the ICA model order substantially affects predictive performance. 7/7
When exploring the predictive power of the ICA components individually, we observed that there was no network with emphasized importance. Which suggests that intelligence functional information is well distributed in the brain. 6/7
