Today in Muscat, Amb. CG Dan Munyuza, together with the Honorary Consul of Rwanda to the Sultanate of Oman, Mr. Hamood Bin Khalfan Al Busaidi, participated in the launch of Oman's low-cost carrier, @SalamAir's direct flights between Muscat and Kigali, alongside SalamAir CEO Adrian Hamilton-Manns, Acting CEO of Oman Airports Authority, Nasser Ahmed Al Sharji, and other aviation stakeholders.
The new bi-weekly service (every Tuesday and Thursday), with its inaugural flight departing tomorrow, 21 July, makes Kigali SalamAir's second destination in Africa, further expanding air connectivity between the Gulf and East Africa.
In his remarks, the Ambassador underscored that the direct flight is "not only a transport link, but a channel for people-to-people relations, trade and investment," adding that it will further strengthen the friendship and growing bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Rwanda and the Sultanate of Oman.
