@cjhodder I noticed this in my #HKR1000 WellTrack too. As university students we often isolate ourselves from our friends and family. But, keeping these relationships/support systems strong can be crucial to improving our mental health and everyday mood.
The text notes that exercise can “combat a variety of mental health disorders and improve mood” (pg.44). My WellTrack results showed my mood was the most positive when I went for a run. A great way to improve mental health is to find something you are passionate about #HKR1000
@KylaKksmith4108 I agree that nature is able to reduce stress. I believe exercise is important to improve physical and emotional wellness. Fresh air can be especially important for students, as we often spend a lot of time indoors studying. #HKR1000
#HKR1000 https://t.co/0NOosGkQaF. NL’s obesity rates are among the highest in the country. A soda tax seems to be a solution to lower these rates and improve levels of health and wellness in the province. But, this report discusses why the tax may not achieve the desired result.
#HKR1000 The overall health and wellness of the class seems high. But, one area of concern is that 22.37% of the class has experienced chest pains in the last month, outside of exercise. The advise of a physician might be needed to stop a possible decline in health and wellness.
@gnlundrigan#HKR1000 This stat doesn’t surprise me, as many university students have poor sleep schedules. However, I agree with you that getting proper sleep is important. I believe sleep can help improve the physical, intellectual and emotional dimensions of wellness in our lives.
