I have never heard the term “caught my eye” more in my entire life than in one episode of a reality “finding love” TV show. #loveisland#TooHotTooHandle
Like many autistic people, my least favourite emotion is confusion. I think this stems from a lifetime of feeling as though everyone knows something that we don’t, and knowing that not only are we disadvantaged by this, but we are prone to receiving harsh judgement because of it.
It’s ironic that autistic people are often called hypochondriacs, when we tend to express pain modestly and/or mask it. Others commonly assume that we are making a mountain out of a molehill, but perhaps we are just so calm about the mountain that they mistake it for a molehill?
It’s wild that autistic people get infantilized when we are generally more tuned in to our environment (physical and metaphorical) than neurotypical people are. We might need social customs to be explained to us sometimes, but it’s usually *us* who has to explain everything else.
The autistic desire to spend hours selecting and perfecting playlists, because music is a full body, mind and soul experience for you and *must* match your mental state at any given moment.
a 10 year old girl was denied an abortion in Ohio because she is 6 weeks and 3 days. she is a literal CHILD. this is not “pro life”. this is forced pregnancy.
Has anyone ever noticed that all the wine glasses are the same gold ones no matter where any of the people go? Lol what’s up with that? #loveisblind2@LoveisBlindShow
