@historyinmemes Lambert was from Leicester & bathed in the River Soar at Frog Island, which he found very therapeutic in terms of the buoyancy and helping to ease the load on his body. This was also something of a spectacle & reputedly children used to use him as a raft - which he didn’t mind 🤷🏻‍♂️
