Brilliant Halloween day @OnthankSchool centre today. Such fantastic imagination being used to create witch’s potions. Lots of different ingredients, a fire built to put the cauldron on and wonderful descriptive language. Opportunities to play and learn 😄 @eaclost
Lovely morning class @OnthankSchool Centre this AM. Tiny treasure hunts, encouraging us to really look at our surroundings, sorting and categorising our finds and then looking closely to do line drawings @eaclost
We are building on the @ScotGov commitment to increase outdoor learning opportunities for children.
Children’s Minister @NatalieDon_ visited @WoodlandsELCC to see this first hand.

Busy day @OnthankSchool Centre yesterday. Bark rubbings and leaf rubbings giving us “wow” moments when the patterns appeared on paper, team work to create tree pictures, and partner working to clear litter from the playground. And we spotted two army planes - excitement! @eaclost

A great #COACh day spent working with pupils @LochnorrisPrim1 to develop their school grounds for wildlife and the environment. Building log piles with P1/2, making bird feeders with P3 and doing a massive campus litter pick with P6. Great to see so much enthusiasm from all 😊
Today, P7s tidied up the litter in our nature garden and gathered in leaves to make our own leaf mould. We are going to leave the leaf mould for a whole year, after which it can be used as compost. Another step in our John Muir Award journey @eaclost
This afternoon, P7 became scientists as they worked with Mrs Conquer from @eaclost to explore the trees in our Nature Garden. They calculated the ages of the trees and found some older than the school!
Great day @eacStPatricksPS with P2/3, P4/5 and P7. Working on @RSPB_Learning Wild Challenge, @as_learn Heritage heroes and @JohnMuirTrust Award - making bird feeders, learning about maps, finding out more about the school in the past & getting to know the trees in the grounds 😃
