I truly do not understand how angry and emotional people get when you tell them that their kids are not likely to be kidnapped from their safe neighborhood by strangers and sold for sex tourists.
Can someone who is a parent explain this to me?
@shannonrwatts Stunningly psychopathic use of religion as a shield to avoid the personal discomfort of having to question whether or not their belief system lives up to its claims of teaching people to live morally and lovingly. Both graven idols and the banality of evil come to mind.

High school health teachers are expected to teach a “nutrition and fitness” unit. Most also cover eating disorders.
We really need a shareable, shame-free, skills-based curriculum that incorporates body positivity and treats food and movement as a sources of joy and connection.
