🛡️ Florida leads the way in fighting Medicaid fraud!

@GovRonDeSantis announced today that AHCA will be launching a pilot program in partnership with SentiLink to enhance fraud detection and safeguard Medicaid integrity. AHCA Secretary @SHarrisFL made clear that "our state is closed for fraud." This innovative approach will help Florida proactively prevent fraud, protect recipients, and ensure quality healthcare for those who need it most.

When someone goes to the state for welfare assistance, the individual’s needs are put into the CarePortal, which sends out the information to all the organizations — religious, charitable, business — that are participants in Hope Florida.

These organizations (that are all exterior to government) can then respond to the needs. This both saves taxpayer dollars and provides much better help. Many of the people who have been served have eliminated their need for government assistance entirely.

Churches and faith-based organizations have always played a crucial role in supporting the most vulnerable, especially children and families in need. In partnership with CarePortal and the Hope Florida initiative, HOPE is expanding opportunities for faith leaders and congregations to help Floridians in their own communities break the cycle of government dependency.

Today in Tampa, I outlined the Save Our Homes from Excessive Property Taxes plan that will eliminate taxes on homesteads. 

Property tax revenue collected by local governments has nearly doubled in the past seven years (from $32 billion to $60 billion) and is expected to reach an astounding $83 billion by 2032.

Florida homeowners need relief. Now is the time to stand up for taxpayers, enact a historic reform, and save the home of every Floridian.

NEWS: @GovRonDeSantis amends Florida’s special session proclamation. The redistricting session is now set for April 28 through May 1, not April 20. The call now also includes an AI Bill of Rights, related public records exemptions, and medical freedom legislation.
