‼️ It's finally out ‼️
How does our #brain tell apart #approaching objects based on context?
Check out our work where we address how the #SuperiorColliculus discriminate between self- and object-generates #looming stimuli!

New job alert!
My lab (https://t.co/fr0xyOii05) has a new postdoc / senior postdoc opening. They will be part of an exciting research supported by ERC & UKRI, studying vision during navigation. Projects range from purely computational to performing new physiological recordings.

Huge congrats to @Karyna_mi for her paper published today in @ScienceMagazine! She found that the hippocampus is really important for a key strategy we use to make decisions called hidden state inference! 🧪 🧠https://t.co/6RgR5Iu6FL 1/7
Two new postdoc positions available at UCL's Institute of Behavioural Neuroscience, with job adverts to be posted shortly. Feel free to DM if interested...
At #sfn2024 and thinking about your #postdoc? Interested in multisensory processing? Join us at UCL in London! Free coffee, great people, and exceptionally mediocre weather! Email me for a chat at #SFN! (or apply below)

Pleasantly surprised to see our recent paper to be chosen as a Research Highlight by @NatureNeuro
(Also feeling very proud of @eabhorrocks)

We convert our setup monitors to synchronize them to the microscopes (2p and WF) they are used with (to reduce contamination light). Peter Buchmann at @FMIscience has made a PCB boards that can be used to convert Dell U2722D monitors.
Delighted to share our paper on task-switching and prediction errors.

How does the brain update its current knowledge of the world to guide flexible behaviour? Prediction errors are key! Pls read & share if you find these questions interesting. Thread:
So happy that this paper is finally out! Epic work from @eabhorrocks at @NatureComms
Since the first draft of ... 2 of 3 of the authors had kids (lab should start a daycare 😂) ... been quite a journey.
