Dr Anna Mantsoki @FINDDx#ISNTDFestival: precipitated by the #diagnostics knowledge gaps in the #COVID19 pandemic, @FINDdx developed a fantastic directory of current Dx including for NTDs, with the goal of a single data portal for Dx! Please visit https://t.co/OwSrSl4kHk
Starting in 45 minutes!
📢 Join us at the #ISNTDFestival at 15:45 UTC.
Our Senior Data Scientist, @amantsok will talk about our DxConnect test directories.

"The way we analyze data is based on old hierarchical systems: sex is often not considered when analyzing test performance. This should change.
Gender should be incorporated in test design – this would increase the uptake & demand for the tests." - @amantsok#DigitalHealthWeek
"There is a lack of systematic evidence on sex & gender differences in the field of #diagnostics: from test performance, to diagnostic health seeking behaviours, to access, to gender bias of those diagnosing patients" our Senior Data Analyst @amantsok at #DigitalHealthWeek ⤵️
#DigitalHealthWeek
Join us today, 15:00 CET for the event on “Data bodies & gender: health data governance is a feminist issue”, where our Senior Data Analyst, @amantsok joins the discussion on gender inequalities in the field of #diagnostics.

@kakape@UKHSA Access to testing is skewed to men. The results are biased, total population samples are nowhere close. We should have open access to disaggregated test data by gender and age asap. We did for COVID, we can do it again better.
@BioMickWatson Hey @BioMickWatson ! I hope you feel better soon… Imagine this scenario in a LMIC country and the infection is not just an eye infection but a life threatening one. How would you go about it? Thank you for raising awareness on AMR and lack of diagnostics 🙌🏻
Only 8% of COVID genomes submitted to GISAID are from LMICs, though they are 80% of world’s population - Swapna Uplekar, Principal Scientist, Genomics Unit @FINDdx at genomic surveillance capacity panel @MaurerStroh@NoahHull_PhD Tsung-Ling Lee @GHS_conf#GHS2022
