It is imperative to understand the Bible and the wisdom of the Proverbs as distinct from the Gospel. Because yes, Jesus WILL use us as we are but I hope that does not give license to stay as we are when we say we are followers of Jesus.

I was so profoundly disappointed to hear @MHarrisPerry’s characterization of The Closer as simply angry and based in bad logic. Most of the loudest critiques of @DaveChappelle’s special seem themselves based in poor listening; often misquoting and misstating which is misleading
