When mainland Indians including retd army officers justify and even celebrate the imposition of inhumane, draconian, and colonial laws like the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) upon the indigenous territories in NE region and people of Manipur, it only reaffirms an old, bitter truth that every Manipuri elder from the 80s and 90s once said, I quote, “Angouba Saheb ti Chatkhare, Amuba Sahebna mahut silhoure” meaning “The white master is gone, but now we have the brown master.”

The moral of this saying is clear, we, the indigenous people of Manipur, were never truly free. India’s so-called Republic is a farce, masking a colonial regime ruled by brown masters who inherited the baton of oppression from their British predecessors. Today, under the shadow of AFSPA, we live not as citizens of a democracy but as subjects of a brutal military regime.

The Indian Army, armed with unaccountable powers, continues to treat the indigenous people of Manipur and the Northeast as enemies of the state, stripping us of our dignity, our rights, and even our lives. This is not democracy. This is a military occupation, sanctioned and celebrated by the Indian state.

Yet, we will endure. We are ready to face these colonial atrocities, but we refuse to bow. We will resist until the day we achieve democracy and a true republic in its real letter and spirit, a day when the rights of indigenous people are respected, not trampled upon by jackboots.

The world must watch closely. The international community must ask hard questions to the Indian Army and its government. Is this the conduct of the world’s largest democracy, or that of a colonial empire in disguise? What moral authority does India have to speak of human rights and democracy when it retains and defends a colonial act like AFSPA, an act that violates every principle of the Universal Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, to which India is a signatory?

We issue a clarion call to the global community. It is time to expose the inhumane military attitude of the Indian state towards the indigenous people of Manipur and the Northeast. The Indian government must be held accountable on the global stage for perpetuating colonial oppression under the garb of democracy. Let the world know, our fight is not just for survival, but for dignity, freedom, and the right to exist as free people on our own land.

FOUR ENEMIES OF PEACE WHO ATTACKED A MEETEI SHRINE THIS MORNING ARRESTED IN THE EVENING

All four arrested terrorists have been identified as cadres of KNF(P), a group under the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement with the Government of India. These militants were supposed to be inside their designated camp, making this a clear violation of SoO ground rules.

Just a few days ago, the Senapati District Students’ Association also apprehended SoO cadres belonging to the UPF group, who were seen moving alongside the Assam Rifles. This pattern of blatant violations has once again exposed the deceitful nature of the SoO agreement, which has never been about peace but rather a shield for armed militants.

The people of Manipur and the State Assembly have repeatedly demanded the abrogation of this flawed agreement, yet the Government of India continues to harbour narco-terrorist groups under the guise of peace.

The time for action is now. Enough is enough. The Government of India must rethink its policies before it is too late.

We initially believed she was an innocent victim of the conflict, caught as collateral damage in the armed clashes between Chin-Kuki narco-terrorist groups and the Khunngakpa village defenders of Jiribam. A supposedly Kuki Immigrant Lady named Becky in X, who could possibly be an agent of Narco-Terrorist Groups talks about legalising Poppy Cultivation in Manipur. She seems to be indefensible about their Kuki culture of normalising drug abuses and narcotics business in Kuki society. They carry their same culture where ever they settle and penetrate into. So they are now talking about normalising and legalising Narcotics business. Above that, while she talks about legalising the cultivation of opium Poppy in Manipur, it indicates that they have been practicing illegal activities of cultivating poppy till today as it is not legalised and she is so comfortable in talking about some thing which is illegal.
FYI Opium Poppy is one of the root cause of entire current violent conflict in Manipur and the rising of Kuki Narco-Terrorism in Manipur and along the borderland of Myanmar-Manipur areas. Which she wanted to legalise the practices. I think she is liable to be booked under certain provisions of anti narcotics and terror act for encouraging Narco-Terrorism in Manipur.
Concern state administration, police and NCB should respond to such comment on social media swiftly and initiate necessary legal actions.
