@elonmusk When hired as a civil servant, must work 3 yrs as career conditional to obtain career tenure. 1st of 3 is probationary, so if anything isn’t working out, you are not classified with the same protections under congressional law.

The special 19z sounding at ILX had CAPE of 7075 j/kg, an astonishing amount of instability. Per the SPC sounding climatology page, only a few soundings at the site have ever exceeded 7000 j/kg of CAPE; none ever in June. Really, really extreme energy in play today.
