The 4th India-Vietnam Security Dialogue was held in New Delhi on 16 October 2026. It was co-chaired by India's Deputy National Security Advisor, Mr. Pavan Kapoor and Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung.

Both sides undertook a comprehensive review covering, inter alia, economic security, maritime engagements, counter-terrorism, emerging technologies and cyber security. They also exchanged views on the regional and global security environment and reaffirmed closer collaboration on issues of mutual interest.

Deputy National Security Adviser, Mr. Pavan Kapoor and Russia’s Deputy Secretary of the Security Council, Mr. Aleksandr Venediktov, co-chaired the 7th India-Russia Special Mechanism on Pakistan and Afghanistan in New Delhi.

Discussions were held on issues of common interest, including their impact on international security. They reaffirmed commitment to strengthen ongoing cooperation under the ‘India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership’.

NSA Shri Ajit Doval and Canada’s Senior Diplomatic & International Affairs Advisor David Morrison held the NSA-level India-Canada Security Dialogue in New Delhi on 6 Oct 2026.

Both sides reviewed bilateral security & law-enforcement cooperation. They agreed to:

💠 deepen cooperation against terrorism, transnational organised crime, drug trafficking and extradition of criminal offenders.

💠 strengthen institutional mechanisms and explore structured dialogues on cybersecurity and economic security.
