@MrsRieB I feel this. Ran into my bedroom door frame this afternoon. 🤣 Fully slammed into it with the left side of my body. We’ve been in this house 4 years.
@BabetteKD@DominickLuhr@Netoey There are wheelchair gloves that are fingerless, but cover the entire thumb. I like them because if I’m not wearing them, I find that my thumbs feel raw after a few hours of work.
@flowergirl_lon I do some digital art and have for others as well as selling on print-on-demand sites. My energy level hasn’t really allowed me to make it a full-time business.
@ysabdullahi I’m so sorry you had to deal with people like this. I would think your background would make you well suited to grade anything Somalia related. Guess I won’t be visiting the Netherlands. 🙄
Here’s the thing you’re not told about being chronically ill - it’s VERY hard work. It can be a 24/7 job trying to maintain a baseline. You have to be your own doctor, therapist, nutritionist & investigator. You have to do it on little sleep & while in pain. The world forgets you
@broadwaybabyto This. I’ve often said being sick is a full time job. We also often have to deal with making so many phone calls (insurance, pharmacy, Dr., etc.) to fight for what we need.
@DrJenGunter Thank you so much for the information. I use a cup because of the reduction in waste, as well as cost for me. I also have period underwear now, as I am in perimenopause and flow is unpredictable. I believed the hype that I was at lower risk of TSS. Now I know better. 🥰
This is absolutely a risk to toxic shock syndrome with menstrual cups and discs.
Also, don’t shame people for their menstrual choices. Some people hate how a cup feels yet they can’t feel a tampon. People need choices.
One of the hardest parts of the pandemic was when, in the beginning, disabled people were finally included. We had more access to the world than we ever had. It got taken away once able bodied people got tired of it. It hurts knowing it’s possible to include us but they don’t.
@shonalouiseblog Recently saw Les Mis. Warnings for loud bangs and flashes. So important as flashing lights trigger migraines for me. I did have my Loop Experience earplugs with me though. I can hear, but don’t have to be overwhelmed by sound.
@JoannaNoBanana I have a list on my phone of things that bring me joy. I think tops for me is my family’s laughter. My spouse and I have 5 (16-27). Any one of them or him laughing makes me smile. 😊
